This policy explains what information the LTP way collects through theltpway.com and estimator.ltpway.com, how we use it and the choices you have. In short: you can use our tools without giving us any contact information, we only use what you choose to send us to reply to you, and we never sell it.
Using our tools
The coverage calculator and the premium estimator run in your web browser. The answers you enter are used to show your results on your screen and are not sent to us unless you choose to submit a request. Saving your calculator results as a PDF also happens in your browser.
Information you choose to send us
If you fill out one of our forms, we receive what you enter:
- Question form: your name, email address and question.
- Get started form: your name, email address, date of birth, state and the coverage amount you're interested in.
- Estimator request form: your name, email address and state, along with the answers you gave the estimator (date of birth, sex, height, weight, tobacco use and the health questions) and the estimate shown to you.
Some of these answers are health information. We use them only to understand your situation and talk with you about coverage. We don't sell them or use them for advertising.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver and secure the site. Our fonts are provided by Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address when a page loads.
We don't use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or tracking pixels, and we don't track you across other websites. Because of that, browser "Do Not Track" signals don't change how this site works.
How we use your information
- To reply to your question or request
- To provide information about life insurance coverage
- To keep records as required by insurance regulations
We don't add you to marketing lists, and we only contact you about the request you sent.
State licensing
We only respond to information requests from states where we're licensed to sell life insurance.
Every email reply from us includes our insurance license number.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With insurance companies, brokerage agencies and other insurance partners we work with, to research coverage options for you when you ask us to
- With an insurance company, when you decide to apply for coverage
- With service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email and client management tools
- When required by law
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as needed to respond to you and to meet insurance recordkeeping requirements.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so please don't send anything through our forms that you aren't comfortable sharing by email.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information you've sent us, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Just reply to any email from us or use our contact form.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
